Consultancy: IT Procurement Expert - Health Financing Program at Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute

The IT procurement expert will specifically support the project with correct, transparent and fair procurement of needed IT software and IT hardware.

The main tasks would include:

• support procurement process to a successful conclusion for IT soft- and hardware, including services for up to EUR 1,2 Mio in close cooperation with project team and key stakeholders;

• procurement to be executed in accordance with KfW (German) Development Bank guidelines for procurement of goods and services.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in IT project management, international procurement or related field
• Proven experience with successful international procurement of large scale IT hardware and software.
• Proven procurement experience according to KfW (German) Development Bank guidelines for procurement of goods and services.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required for high level engagement with ministries, departments and agencies, development partners and other stakeholders.
• Proven experience with procurement in East Africa, at best in a Kenyan context.
• Proven experience in multi-cultural settings.

We would aim to have the successful consultant in place from January 2018. Please note that the final recruitment for this consultancy is dependent upon Swiss TPH being awarded the contract by KfW (Health Financing Programme Kenya) and approval of the consultant by KfW.
