    Digital Marketing Manager

    Duma Works is recruiting a Digital Marketing Manager. The hiring company is a Kenyan based company premiering in financial & consumer technological products like never seen before in Africa.

    About the Role

    We are looking for a Digital Marketing manager, who can solely take ownership of building and maintaining the digital presence, and also focus on online user acquisition.

    Responsibilities

    Content Marketing + SEO + PR (including Link Building)

    • Own all digital properties of the business, including but not limited to website, blog, social pages, landing pages, PR articles etc. — includes community management on social channels
    • Should have working knowledge of (or ability to learn very quickly on the job) tools necessary for content creation and publishing — blogging platforms, canva, typorama, slidesnack, animoto, powtoon etc
    • Outreach for free PR, which can help us get more visibility in the appropriate target audiences
    • Working knowledge of on-page / off-page SEO is a plus
    • Will be responsible for making sure all content related to the company on the web is updated, streamlined, and is aligned to our communication objectives
    • Will be responsible for gradually building the content marketing channel as a significant traction channel for the business

    Influencer Marketing

    • Strategise and execute campaigns with influencers, on an ongoing basis
    • Will be responsible for clearly outlining campaign objectives, and then efficiently achieving them
    • Gradually build (paid and free) influencer networks for the business, basis our communication objectives and target audiences

    Performance Marketing — Paid Social + GDN + Affiliate Marketing

    • Paid digital marketing will be a secondary focus, done on-demand basis
    • Primary traction channels to be used are facebook ads, GDN, and any other affiliate marketing channels with significant and appropriate audience networks — prior experience with FB ads and GDN will be a big plus
    • Will be responsible for clearly outlining campaign objectives, and then efficiently achieving them

    Qualifications

    • Young and sharp individual with a highly relevant and high-growth experience of 2-4 years in a digital marketing role
    • Having a hands-on approach is a must.The candidate should have the capability to stretch themselves and individually handle content creation and publishing (across channels), manage influencer networks, and run paid digital campaigns when necessary
    • A strong desire and capability to learn
    • Highly impact/ result driven
    • Strong analytical capabilities to analyse outcome of every marketing activity or campaign executed, and continuously improve efficiency of our marketing effort.
    • Should have a strong desire to own the outcomes of all our digital marketing efforts, stay abreast and keep experimenting with new and growing marketing channels, and grow personally as a digital marketing expert.

    Other Requirements

    • Proven work experience as a Digital marketing strategist or Digital marketing manager
    • Demonstrable experience with SEO
    • Experience implementing and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
    • Experience extrapolating data using excel modelling
    • Solid knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics
    • Hands on experience with online marketing tools and practices
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical and project management skills
    • BSc degree in Marketing, Advertising or relevant field
