IT Officer at SBM Bank

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Data Analytics, the IT Officer will be responsible for implementing and supporting intensive data analytical applications. The job incumbent will also be called upon to translate business requirement into a technical solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing technical and functional support to analytical applications such as customer profitability and risk management systems
• Performing regular data quality checks to ensure completeness and correctness of data
• Troubleshooting data and system issues and provide appropriate resolution
• Gathering user requirement and translate into technical solution
• Evaluating impact of changes to existing system and technical architecture
• Liaising with suppliers for solving problems within agreed service level
• Taking ownership and handling end-to-end change/problem management process
• Assisting users for test cases preparation and execution

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related qualifications
• 1-3 years’ experience in supporting analytical solutions or Banking solutions
• Highly proficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripting
• Hands-on professional experience and knowledge of database data manipulation and transformation
• Proactive team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines
• Fast learner
• Experience in a Banking environment and understanding of Banking products will constitute a definite advantage
