    SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

    PROFESSORS - GRADE 15 -Three (3) Positions

    Area of Specialization;

    Communication and Media - MSU/ACA/SASS/01/18

    Area of Specialization;

    Philosophy -MSU/ACA/SASS/02/18

    Area of Specialization;

    Religious Studies -MSU/ACA/SASS/03/18

    Requirements for Appointment of Academic Staff

    PROFESSOR - GRADE 15

    Must have:

    • Applicants must have served as an associate Professor for a period of three (3) years.
    • An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university;
    • At least fifteen (15) years of teaching experience at the university level with at least three (3) years as an associate Professor or six (6) years research /industry experience.
    • A minimum of sixty (60) publication points since attaining associate Professorship, forty (40) of which should be in refereed scholarly journals.
    • Supervised at least five (5) post-graduate students to completion as an associate Professor with at least two at doctoral level.
    • He or she must have attracted research or development funds since last promotion.
    • Attended and presented papers at conferences/workshops/seminars.
    • Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).

    Method of Application

    Ten (10) copies of applications should be submitted together with an updated Curriculum Vitae giving details of the applicant; age, marital status, academic and professional qualification, working experience, present post and salary, telephone contact, email address, names and referees plus copies of the certificates and testimonials.
