Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a more senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:- receiving and registering patients at hospital reception; booking appointment for patients to specialty and consultants clinics; storing and retrieving

medical records and documents; preparing clinics; updating bed bureaus; capturing data from service points; maintaining record safety and confidentiality; and directing patients to relevant clinics.

Requirements for Appointment

• For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
• Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology from a recognized institution; and 7 1 1
• Certificate in computer application Skills from a recognized institution.
