Software Developer at Academic Model Providing Access to Health Care (AMPATH)

Reporting to the Principal Investigator,HI-TRAIN the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coding and testing computer programs according to instructions and specifications
  Assist with Health Information analysis & documentation upon request
• Assist with interfacing and integration of assigned systems with other systems
• Ensure assigned systems have required security measures
• Code clean up and code repositories administration and maintenance
• Critical systems development
• Assist with research on various technologies and other topics
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution
• Software development in java with at least one working system
• Software development in android with at least one working system
• Knowledge of database systems preferably mysql and sqlite
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of web design and programming will be an added advantage

Terms of Employment

The successful candidate will be employed on contract terms, beginning with a three-month probation.
