Clinical Officer - Ophthalmology at Mabati Rolling Mills Limited (MRM)

Job Description

Job Summary: 

• Provision of Ophthalmology consultation for patients in the Charitable Out-Patient Department of the Lions Medical Centre
• Counseling of the patients about eye diseases and treatment options
• Evaluation of vision and refractive status of the patients where needed
• To perform cataract surgeries, preferably small incision technique and other minor surgical procedures
• Attend the Outreach Programme taking up overall responsibility of the Camp-site held during the weekends
• Active participation in the CME programs being held at the hospital
• Carry out other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Administrator

Qualification & Experience

• Higher Diploma in Ophthalmology from KMTC or any other reputable institution
• Registered with the Clinical Officer’s Council- Kenya
• Valid Clinical Officer’s practicing license
• At least Two years’ work experience in a busy Ophthalmic unit
• Computer Literate 
• Team Player and Cultural sensitivity
