Assistant Marketing Manager at SportPesa

The Assistant Marketing Manager – PR and Communications will drive the communications and PR strategy so as to proactively promote a positive and endearing corporate image through the media and other available channels of communication.

Job Responsibilities

• In liaison with the Marketing Management, coordinate both the internal and external PR and communication strategies.
• Execute a comprehensive communications and PR plan for the company, its products and services
• Build and maintain strong relationships and networks with colleagues, clients, partners and the media
• Monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns across all the platforms, providing timely feedback and reports on the same.
• Assist in the execution of the company’s corporate events to promote a positive public relations and corporate image
• Maintain the historical files on company’s PR events and other administrative duties in the department.
• Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs for PR opportunities.
• Collate, analyze and evaluate media coverage and provide timely reports for efficient decision making
• Promote news stories and features to the media

Qualifications

• Degree in Mass Communication / Journalism
• Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations an added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills
• At least four years’ experience in a similar role
• Passionate and proactive
• A great communicator
