Senior Logistics Officer at Kenya Tea Development Agency (MS) Ltd

Position scope

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various logistics activities in line with the company’s requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing prequalification of suppliers for various goods and services during the procurement assessment;
• Assist in reporting of the financial projection monthly, quarterly and yearly to be presented in the management meetings by the Manager;
• Planning and organizing logistics in terms of transport requirements, mileage, receipt, handling, storage and distribution of items and establishes proper recording systems;
• Maintaining the records of the purchase orders, log books and goods purchased under the same and hand over the goods to the concerned staff in proper way;
• Monitoring the status of incoming supplies, status monitoring and correspondence with the suppliers, summarizing all the expenditure and submitting it to the supervisor;

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies: -

• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, logistics or related qualifications.
• Professional certification in Supply Chain Management/ Diploma in Purchasing and supplies/Logistics Management
• A member of KISM/CIPS/CSPS
• Minimum of five (5) year experience in supply chain management or Logistics management.
