Quality Champion - CDC Laboratory Program at Lan-x Africa Limited

Job Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Sub County Medical Technologist (SCMLT) and oversight of CDC laboratory program CQI Lead, the Q-Champions will assist with the following tasks and activities:

• Training community HIV counseling and testing workers on practical quality assurance procedures;
• Collecting data from the MoH 362 and HIV proficiency testing programs;
• Assisting with entering and analyzing data from the MoH 362 and proficiency testing program;
• Conducting regular site visits and implementing corrective actions

Qualification and Experience

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in laboratory science
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Keen attention to details and wiliness to travel to rural areas for several weeks
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)

Experience: This position is considered to be an entry level at the start of the programme; therefore, no previous work experience is required.
