The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) was established under Cap 255 of the Laws of Kenya in 1966 as a department in the Ministry of Health to provide health insurance exclusively for those in the formal employment.
A few internship opportunities may be offered to holders of University degree/Diploma in relevant fields to gain hands on experience and develop key employability skills. The internship offered is for a period of six months non-renewable.
The successful applicants must be available for the six months duration of the internship and must strictly adhere to their terms of engagement as per letter of offer.
Interns work under the guidance of senior employees who guide them on the day-to-day operations.
Those wishing to undertake their attachment/internship at the Fund and meet the requirements are encouraged to submit their applications to the Director of Human Resource and Administration. The applications will be placed in our database to be considered as and when the opportunities become available. The Fund currently takes interns in January and June of every year.
