Below is what the incumbent will be charged with:

This position entails acquiring rights to the content presented on Boomplay, managing the relationship with Artistes, record labels, Content providers and content owners, curate & review acquired content in the country.

• Manage and maintain relationship with Artistes, record labels, Content providers and content owner across different regions in Kenya.
• Ensure all music released in Kenya (historical and new releases) are properly licensed and available on Boomplay.
• Provide support to Artistes, record labels, Content providers and content owner for acquiring licensed music content onto the digital music platform via the CMS portal
• Review metadata provided by content providers to ensure all music contents uploaded to the platform meets the required specifications
• Timely content curation for all categories for Content admin for upload in the operating country.
• Work closely with marketing and content admin team to manage Artistes, record labels, Content providers and content owner expectations
• Stay updated with industry trends, new releases (albums, singles & videos).

Key Performance Indicators:

• Ensure timely acquiring of contents upon immediate releases.
• Ensure proper content are acquired and all appropriate rights are cleared with legal team
• Ensure all required content are acquired and are delivered to the content admin team for upload on the platform.

Required Competencies and Attributes:

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data.
• Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize workload needed
• Good communication (Verbal & Written) and inter-personal skills
• Excellent Information Technology/Systems skills
• Good attention to detail.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Arts and/or Communications related degree.
• 1-3 years’ music industry related experience
• Artiste relation skills and understanding of the music ecosystem in the country of operation
• Relevant and related requirement

Budget: Negotiable.
