Job Description

PEVANS EA LTD, seeks to recruit a Security Officer- Operations. Reporting to the head of Security, the Security Officer – Operations, will provide operational support to the security function of the organization. He/she will implement, monitor and recommend security systems, policies and procedures and monitor surveillance installations – which will ensure staff and property safety.

Responsibilities 

• Implement the SP Security Plan as assigned by the Head of Security, according to set Standards. These include and not limited to; Physical Security, Access Control, monitoring activities in the field, Inventory, Delivery & Receiving Procedures, security threat Procedures and more.
• Monitoring of the security surveillance system to establish any security gaps, advising accordingly.
• Conduct investigations as assigned by the Head of Security, prepare reports, and follow through on agreed actions.
• Track and Report all security events and incidents to the Head of Security.
• Promoting and driving a solid security culture within the organization.
• Assist the Head of Security in implementing personal protection plans for key leaders and personnel, when needed.
• Build relationships and networks with local law enforcement agencies.
• Monitor and evaluate 3rd party Security suppliers.
• Ensure company property and personnel safety by carrying out systematic patrols, taking remedial action, escalating where necessary.
• Creation of periodical security reports.
• Manage the access control to ensure that only authorized personnel gain access, ensure deterrence to restricted areas for unauthorized personnel.
• In liaison with the Head of Security, develop, amend and implement security policies and procedures.
• Assist management in security vetting of new employees and contractors Policy and Procedures.
• Management of security data bases and reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Security Management or related field
• 3-5 years professional working experience in corporate security operations
• Valid certificate of Good Conduct
• Must have updated security knowledge/skills in the last 2 years
• Strong communication skills
• Computer literate
