Chief Manager- Security & Safety Services at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

Reports to:      Commissioner-Corporate Support Services

Job Summary:

Responsible for policy development and strategy formulation to ensure security/safety of personnel and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate strategies, policies, procedures and work plans for the Division,
• Direct surveillance, security investigations and preparation of reports on crimes/incidences affecting KRA personnel and assets,
• Ensure availability and management of outsourced security services providers,
• Oversee implementation of risk assessments and management plans,
• Coordinate implementation of proactive security control measures and procedures in the Authority,
• Oversee preparation of budget and annual procurement plan for the Division,
• Manage and develop staff in the Division.

Requirements for appointment:

In service

• A degree or a diploma in related security studies i.e. policing and security management, investigations and crime prevention, counter terrorism and other specialized security training,
• Must have worked with discipline forces or private security at a senior level,
• Must be a member of a relevant professional organization,
• Seven (7) years experience at managerial level.
