    Trade Marketing Coordinator

    Job Summary

    The ideal candidate for this role will have experience leading, through market research and analysis, the development and implementation of product introduction and market penetration strategies; advice the planning around sourcing and pricing of the products therein, to accelerate growth in volume, revenue and profit contribution of FFV and FMCG products.
    They will work closely with the sales team to coordinate activities in the field and seek opportunities for the brand to be involved in strategic initiatives supporting sales.They will also advise on product diversification or divestiture decisions

    Responsibilities

    • Strategy: Contribute to the attainment of Twiga Food’s Limited vision, mission, and strategic aspirations by leading in the development and implementation of product strategies and corresponding value adds/propositions that differentiates us from other market players
    • Market Intelligence: Utilise the principles of consumer/ market insight for FFV and FMCG to gather and anticipate customer/competitive trends, assesses strategic implications and impact on the business potential to encourage a deeper understanding of customer motivations that will be applied to unlock growth in product delivery across the regions
    • Annual plans, Budgeting and Forecasts: Contribute to the development of annual sales and marketing plans to ensure that they are in line with overall company strategy and contribute to the preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly FMCG and FFV sales forecasts and cascading of sales quota to respective regions and areas
    • Sales Volumes and Revenues: Contribute to the execution of  the company-wide FMCG sales operations and support the execution of the approved market penetration strategies for FMCG products to ensure accelerated growth in volumes and market share while evaluating options for promotional activities and value adds to achieve optimal sales
    • Product Diversification or Divestiture: Support the Chief Commercial Officer and other key stakeholders in the decisions on the introduction or withdrawal of products/ produce range for distribution by executing research and collating market feedback to meet customer (and producers) needs; Work with the supply chain to identify grading and packaging improvement and develop introductory market programs for new products and/or new markets
    • Brand management:  In liaison with the Route to Customer Manager drive awareness of the corporate brand and sub-brand plans taking into consideration customer and market insights and product line marketing goals;
    • Stakeholder Relationship Management:  Establish and maintain good corporate   relationships with various industry and non-industry stakeholders to drive intelligence gathering and support optimal business planning and decision making
