    About the roles

    Online Acquisition Lead

    The Online Acquisition Lead is responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities from online sources such as search engines, email notifications, webinars, website requests, and industry trade shows/events among others. This position may also require performing research activities for various market segments and opportunities (Internet, social media, internal CRM and direct contacts), and generating leads for subsequent follow-up. This individual will work closely with other Marketing Team members, acquisition incubation and vendor management teams as well as Senior Management, to accomplish business goals.

    Specific duties and responsibilities include:

    • Increase the number of leads coming from marketing activities in line with targets
    • Optimise the SEO and SEM of the sign-up page
    • Create and drive offline events and activities to create leads
    • Strategize and execute lead generation campaigns. This will be in collaboration with content, marketing, and sales teams to create regular campaigns including email, content, ads, webinars, and more
    • Establish, track, and improve response rates, conversion rates, pipeline, and ROI with each campaign
    • Continually refine and optimizing demand generation efforts based on both quantitative and qualitative feedback from the acquisition team

    Offline Acquisition Lead

    The Offline Acquisition Lead will be responsible for closing acquisition deals with a team of field agents in various locations of Nairobi and Kenya in addition to driving offline lead generation campaigns.

    Specific duties and responsibilities include:

    • Ability to lead a team of field agents to acquire vendors through door to door sales activities
    • Increase the efficiency of the offline acquisition teams
    • Ability to deal with vendors and form relationships
    • Convert the leads to live vendors and get maximum Stock Keeping Units (SKUs)
    • Develop databases to generate leads across different geo-regions in Nairobi and later in other cities
    • Develop scripts and train the field agents
    • Daily monitoring of the team efficiency on quality of vendors

    Tele-Acquisition Lead

    The Tele-Acquisition Lead will contribute to the generation of vendor leads for the marketplace team. You will be responsible for closing acquisition deals over the phone and maintaining good vendor relationships.

    Specific duties and responsibilities include:

    • Generate and qualify leads from cold calling
    • Manage, track and follow up on leads by calling them
    • Conduct vendor presentations through phone and email
    • Meet monthly and quarterly vendor acquisition goals
    • Create and update activity reports
    • Develop script and train potential agents
    • Close partnerships with external stakeholders which allows us to on-board mass vendors at a time

    Desired Candidate Profile

    • You have 4+ year’s experience in online and offline marketing (Online Acquisition Lead)
    • You have 4+ year’s experience in sales/door to door sales/offline marketing (Offline Acquisition Lead)
    • You have 4+ year’s experience in sales/telesales/call centre (Tele-Acquisition Lead)
    • You are action-oriented and performance-driven
    • You have great experience in leading negotiations
    • You have strong management and interpersonal and communication skills
    • You have good analytical and data management skills
    • You have the ability to anticipate, structure and organize, with great attention to detail
    • You have great trouble-shooting skills, always seeking to find simple solutions to complex problems
    • You are able to work in a competitive, fast-paced and high-pressure environment
