The Safeguarding Officer will work to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding are enshrined and adhered to across the programme’s implementation. The Safeguarding Officer will be responsible for promoting a strong safeguarding and Do No Harm culture across the programme, with a focus on at-risk girls, FGM survivors, grassroots activists, and team members.
Responsibilities:
Working with experts in Emotional Wellbeing and Do No Harm, the Safeguarding Officer will be responsible for developing policies, procedures and processes which are in line with Options’ guidelines and with sector best practices and will ensure that these are embedded in the programme through trainings, technical support, and design of relevant tools and resources.
The Safeguarding Officer will have substantial demonstrable experience in Safeguarding, and FGM and/or Gender Based Violence in an international development setting, and with embedding culture change management, working with the concepts of organisational cultures.
