    Accountant - 2 Posts

     NKPCU/HRM/1 4 /202 4

    • Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
    • Basic Salary: Kshs. 77,414 (Minimum) - 116,529 (maximum)
    • Other remunerations: Based on prevailing Government guidelines
    • Reporting to Senior Accountant

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Preparing vouchers in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations;
    • Preparing and updating the books of accounts;
    • Balancing cashbooks, issuing imprests, and advances;
    • Preparing bank reconciliation statements;
    • Preparing and dispatching farmers' payments, payment advice, and farmers' statements of accounts;
    • Maintaining individual ledgers for CCARF advances and recoveries;
    • Preparing monthly revenue returns;
    • Preparing monthly expenditure returns;
    • Ensuring safe custody of cash, cheques, financial records, and other accountable documents;
    • Preparing and calculating coffee proceeds for payment to farmers;
    • Calculating and valuation of CCARF to be advanced to farmers;
    • Processing online payments and data capturing;
    • Invoicing and payment of coffee proceeds; and
    • Preparing VAT and other statutory returns.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: - Commerce (Accounting Option), Business Administration (Accounting Option), Business Management (Accounting or Finance Option), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Certified Public Accountant II (CPA II) by Kenya Accountants and Secretaries Examination Board (KASNEB) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in Computer applications;
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
    • An applicant with at least three (3) years of working experience in a similar position will have an added advantage.
