Accountant at People FOCO

Our client a goroup of clubs and restaurants is looking for an accountant to join their team

ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for all bookkeeping and accounts functions in relation to payments done by company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Ensure the efficient processing of all financial transactions, including proper documentations for bills invoiced to facilitate payments in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all invoices received are correctly allocated and that legit services and/or products were consumed.
• Ensure the creditors account is reconciled monthly and statements sent out by 5th every month.
• Liaise with administrative assistant to ensure that money spent is well receipted and accounted for.
• Facilitate payment of all statutory deductions in a timely manner.
• Ensure timely computation and payment of all taxes

• Ensure that any discrepancies in the billings received are sorted out with the supplier concerned.
• Respond to any supplier queries on bills and payment due.

• Communicate with the suppliers in liaison with the procurement office to ensure that the company retains and gains the best credit terms.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Business Management / Economics will be advantageous 
• Minimum 2 years’ General Accounting experience.
• CPA 4
