Interior Design Architect at Valentori Investments Group Ltd

Salary: KES 45,000–55,000 per month, depending on experience and expertise

• Valentori Group is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented and execution-focused Interior Design Architect to join our team. We are looking for someone who can translate site conditions and client requirements into accurate, buildable designs and clear execution documentation.
• This is not purely a visualization role. The successful candidate must understand the full journey from site measurement → space planning → design → material quantification → technical drawings → installation instructions → execution support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct professional site visits and take accurate site measurements.
• Develop functional interior layouts and detailed space plans.
• Produce high-quality 3D designs and photorealistic renders.
• Prepare accurate technical drawings, elevations, dimensions and installation/instruction drawings for site teams and fabricators.
• Prepare material quantities and support development of BOQs/cutting information where required.
• Translate approved designs into practical information that carpenters, installers, electricians, gypsum teams and other trades can execute accurately.
• Provide design clarification and technical support during project execution.
• Coordinate design requirements with project, procurement and site teams.
• Review site execution against approved designs and identify discrepancies early.
• Maintain organized design files, revisions, specifications and approvals.
• Work within project deadlines and deliver designs promptly without compromising accuracy.

Preferred Technical Experience

Strong practical knowledge of the following will be highly advantageous:

• Kitchen cabinetry
• Wardrobes & walk-in closets
• Custom joinery
• TV wall units
• Vanities
• Gypsum ceilings
• Lighting layouts
• Interior space planning
• Finishes and material selection
• Candidates who understand cabinetry construction, joinery details and how designs are actually fabricated and installed on site will be strongly preferred.

Must-Have Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a closely related field.
• Proven professional interior design experience.
• Strong design and rendering capability is mandatory.
• Ability to take accurate site measurements and translate them into workable drawings.
• Strong understanding of dimensions, proportions, materials and construction details.
• Ability to prepare detailed technical and installation drawings.
• Demonstrable competence in relevant design, CAD and rendering software.
• Ability to work quickly and meet design submission deadlines.
• Portfolio demonstrating both design quality and technical competence.
