Accountant at Sistema Biobolsa

Your mission at Sistema.bio:

The Accountant will oversee financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

You’ll be in charge of:

• Accounts receivable : Customer invoicing, Customer payment booking and allocation.                                                                                                                
• Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations : Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Accounts payable: Review of employee expenses ensuring 100% accuracy on cost allocation & categorization. Identify and address discrepancies on purchase invoices and receipts shared. Ensure all supporting documentation (including tax compliant invoices) is available and filed correctly.
• General ledger maintenance : Post journal entries and assist with monthly and year-end closing processes. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Support preparation of trial balances and financial statements.
• Tax and statutory compliance : Assist in preparing VAT, withholding tax and other statutory returns.
• Internal controls and audit support: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Support both internal and external audits.

More about YOU:    

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•  CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is preferred.
•  3+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Credit management experience is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo, Zoho) and MS Excel.
• Experience working with salesforce CRM is an added advantage. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.(IFRS & GAAPS)
