Amper Van Driver-Kenya at Ampersand E-mobility Limited

About the role
The AmperVan Driver is responsible for driving the company mobile service van during its day-to-day routes as dictated by customer, technician and Ampersand staff needs. As an AmperVan driver, you will be required to maintain integrity and quality of service delivery at all times. This role will report to the Aftercare Manager and hold the following responsibilities:

1. Maintaining a safe and clean vehicle, and reporting any faults to the Aftercare Manager.
2. Supporting customers with roadside care efficiently.
3. Delivery of batteries between stations and maintenance centers.
4. Supporting procurement with materials collection and distribution.
5. Assisting technicians where possible in their carrying out of tasks.
6. Fuelling and managing vehicle mileage logs, making sure to record these in an organised manner.
7. Any other duties assigned by the Aftercare Manager.

Minimum requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid driver’s license (class BCE), and a minimum of 4 years driving experience.
3. Valid certificate of good conduct.
4. Good knowledge of Nairobi and its environs — ability to use navigation apps is a plus.
5. Physical work – a successful candidate must be able to be on their feet during the day and physically fit.
6. Good command of spoken English and Kiswahili.
7. Proactive problem-solving skills e.g. traffic prediction and avoidance techniques.
8. Basic Automotive Mechanic skills.
9. Humility / Flexibility. This is a start-up company with a fast-paced environment. Job duties may evolve quickly.
