About the role
The AmperVan Driver is responsible for driving the company mobile service van during its day-to-day routes as dictated by customer, technician and Ampersand staff needs. As an AmperVan driver, you will be required to maintain integrity and quality of service delivery at all times. This role will report to the Aftercare Manager and hold the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe and clean vehicle, and reporting any faults to the Aftercare Manager.
- Supporting customers with roadside care efficiently.
- Delivery of batteries between stations and maintenance centers.
- Supporting procurement with materials collection and distribution.
- Assisting technicians where possible in their carrying out of tasks.
- Fuelling and managing vehicle mileage logs, making sure to record these in an organised manner.
- Any other duties assigned by the Aftercare Manager.
Minimum requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license (class BCE), and a minimum of 4 years driving experience.
- Valid certificate of good conduct.
- Good knowledge of Nairobi and its environs — ability to use navigation apps is a plus.
- Physical work – a successful candidate must be able to be on their feet during the day and physically fit.
- Good command of spoken English and Kiswahili.

About the role
Ampersand is looking for Battery Maintenance Technicians with focus on troubleshooting and repairing batteries for electric vehicles. About the role
The Charging Station Attendant is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day execution of battery swap and battery recharge services and equipment at Ampersand Charging Stations, which keep our customers on the road. Each Charging Station Attendant will be responsible for delivering unparalleled service to our customers and continue to assist in optimizing day-to-day service delivery systems. This role will report to the Charging Station Manager and hold the following responsibilities:
- Battery Swapping - When a customer visits the charging station, the Charging Station Attendant removes the depleted battery and replaces it quickly with a fresh one. This position will also manage data collection and payments through the AmperOps mobile app.
- Battery Charging - The Charging Station Attendant manages the station’s inventory of batteries, keeping a stock of fresh batteries ready for use and ensuring all batteries are charging efficiently.
- Station Performance – The Charging Station Attendant is the front line in ensuring that all station supplies and equipment are operating at peak efficiency and reporting maintenance requests as needed.

Ampersand is looking for a proven and established manager to lead our customer facing team in Nairobi. The Charging Station Manager will be responsible for all battery “swap” operations including the health of the charging network, battery pool, and performance of a distributed team.
The Charging Station Manager will report directly to the Country Manager and hold the following responsibilities.
- Team Leadership and Performance Management
- Manage a small team of station attendants.
- Build culture, maintain our values, and develop trust in a distributed organization.
