What You Will Do

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop appropriate anaesthesia plans for patients.
• Administer general, regional, and local anaesthesia safely and effectively.
• Monitor patients vital signs and clinical status before, during, and after anaesthesia.
• Manage pain control and provide post-operative and critical care support as required.
• Respond promptly to anaesthetic complications and medical emergencies.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and theatre staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise and guide theatre staff during procedures ensure smooth collaboration of patient care
• Ensure proper use, handling, and documentation of anaesthetic drugs and equipment.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records.
• Participate in continuous professional development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
• Postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesia from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) with a valid practicing license.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience as an Anaesthetist in a reputable medical institution
• Strong clinical judgment, emergency response, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
