Assistant Financial Accountant at Sanlam Investments East Africa (SIEA)

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Fund Accounting, the successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations for assigned funds.
• Review fund income and expenses to ensure accurate allocation and distribution to investors.
• Accurate calculation and payment of agents’ commission.
• Accurate calculation, filing and payment of withholding tax by required timeframe.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Assisting with regulatory reporting, including completion of monthly and quarterly CMA returns.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Adhere to Company policies including internal and external polices, risk, compliance and regulatory standards.
• Any other responsibilities as documented in your performance objectives and as may be assigned and communicated from time to time.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance or accounting role
• Experience in fund accounting is a strong advantage
• Strong understanding of IFRS, tax & CMA regulations
• Proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with any ERP system.
