Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance from a reputable university
• MBA is non-negotiable

Experience Requirements

• 6+ years in a procurement role, preferably in the biomass industry
• Established network of biomass partners and suppliers is highly advantageous
• Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and executing contracts
• Working understanding of biomass densification

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market assessments to identify suitable biomass feedstocks for projects
• Identify and evaluate potential biomass partners and suppliers, and execute supply agreements through negotiation and proposal drafting
• Develop tailored strategies for biomass procurement, storage, processing, transportation, and supply
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to determine the most efficient approach between transportation and biomass processing/densification
• Formulate ash disposal strategies and establish agreements for ash off-take or corporate social responsibility initiatives
• Continuously optimize sourcing strategies to align with cost and sustainability objectives
• Collaborate with the E&S team to conduct sustainability assessments of the biomass procurement strategy as per board requirements
• Monitor biomass supply costs, sustainability metrics, and quality standards
• Prepare presentations for management and board meetings related to biomass management responsibilities
• Oversee a team of in-country biomass procurement specialists
