Blowmould & Filler Machine Operator at Bidco Africa

Job brief

We are looking for a skilled Blowmould & Filling Machine Operator to maintain and operate machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. The Filling Machine Operator is responsible to operate the Krones Blowmould & Filling machine as per SOPs and do the maintenance programs to achieve the set KPI.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Maintain activity logs

Requirements and skills

• 4-5 years’ experience on Pet blowing and filling machine as technical operator with the high speed line (capacity of 24000 BPH and above)
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Krones combi block experience and/or sacmi or KHS or Sipa combi block exposure.
• Operator must be conversant with blowing and filling machine operation and troubleshooting (operational level).
• Certificate or diploma in engineering field.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
