Roles/Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure effective / efficient implementation of bank-wide policies.
• Maintain good public relations with current and prospective customers
• Plan and report on Marketing calls for the unit
• Provide on-the job training for Account Officers/RO’s & RM’s
• Negotiate foreign exchange and credit rates with customers within limits set by the bank to ensure maximum profitability to the bank
• Prepare and present the Unit’s Monthly Profitability Report (MPR) to management
• Appraise all staff under supervision
• Supervise activities of operations staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery to customers
• Ensure that the unit has adequate allocation of resources to enable it meet stated objectives
• Ensures the ambience of the branch is in line with the standard of the bank
• Ensures smooth administrative running of the branch.
• Maintains all the infrastructure of the bank and ensures they are in good working condition
• Monitor Branch Performance against Monthly/Quarterly & Annual Plans
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Country Operating Officer/Head of Retail/Zonal Manager
• Grow and retain existing Business within the Branch
• Manage the Branch Budget
• Monitor and ensure customers’ compliance with credit agreements
• Ensure zero operational losses at the Branch

Skills & Qualifications

• First degree in any Business related discipline. Masters in Business Administration or Banking & Finance and professional qualification will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a bank/ financial institution.
