Cardiac and Echo Technician at Avenue Healthcare

Key Responsibilities

1. Performs echocardiographic studies considering the age-specific physiological, emotional
2. and cognitive needs of the patient 
3. Consistently performs quality Doppler and colour Doppler Exams
4. Acquires quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to Physician and benchmark standards (post exercise image acquisition at 60 seconds or less)
5. Performs quality Trans oesophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
6. Competently perform all other procedures performed in the Cardiology Diagnostics Department:
7. Interpretation, reporting, communication and documentation of studies
8. Develop promotions and publicity for the Cardiology Programs in collaboration with the marketing department
9. Uses equipment and departmental resources appropriately
10. Ensure financial objectives of the Cardiac Diagnostic Service are met.
11. Provide Monthly reports to the line manager and senior hospital management on the performance of the Cardiac Diagnostic Services

Personal Specifications

1. Diploma in Nursing, Clinical Medicine or equivalent medical training 
2. Certificate in Echocardiography 
3. Up-to-date BLS, ACLS, ATLS Certificate
4. At least 3 years’ experience in Cardiac Echo and other Diagnostics
