Chief Superintending Engineer-Agriculture - 9 Positions at Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include:- 

• Conducting feasibility studies and investigation on agricultural engineering works; carrying out data analysis for design of agricultural engineering works; 
• Carrying out detailed design and preparation of bill of quantities of agricultural engineering works; 
• Carrying out specialized repair and maintenance of agricultural engineering works; verifying and validating agricultural engineering designs in accordance with set standards; 
• Implementing agricultural engineering design works; 
• Training stakeholders in agricultural engineering technologies;  
• Conducting trainings, on-farm trials and demonstrations; and 
• Preparing technical reports.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

• Served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Senior Superintending Engineer (Agriculture), CSG 8 or in a comparable and relevant positions in the wider public service;
• A Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya; 
• Demonstrated capability and efficiency in undertaking the agricultural engineering function; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
