    Clerk (Community Interviewer) (5 Positions)

    Job Description

    The incumbent will report directly to the Research Administrator. The incumbent will be responsible for mapping and collecting timely accurate data in assigned areas, identifying, planning, and providing community health promotion and education to different populations in the communities. S/he must be flexible to work within the existing structures in a professional and ethical manner with competence, accountability, and integrity.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Secondary Education with a minimum grade of D+
    • Ability to communicate in Good English, Swahili and Dholuo, both spoken and written
    • GCP certificate
    • Ability to ride a motorcycle and in possession of a valid driving license endorsed for the specific class.
    • Knowledge of MS office computer packages (word, excel and PowerPoint) and ability to work with smart phones.

    Specific Tasks and Responsibilities.

    The Community Interviewers’ responsibilities shall include and not be limited to the following:

    • Mapping, recruitment, and consenting pharmacy outlets
    • Distributing data tools to the consented pharmacy outlets
    • Ensuring accurate entry and completion of data
    • Timely submission of verified and completed data
    • Training and retraining of enrolled pharmacy and drug outlets on data entry and data tools
    • Attend study field meetings and report on progress of work.
