Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises / Oversees Junior health workers.
• Diagnosing and treating patients’ ailments at the University health facility;
• Planning and conducting primary health care activities;
• Attending to patients and referring them for further medical attention, where necessary;
• Counseling of patients in the clinic;
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory provisions relating to Health Services delivery and Medical staff registration and retention in professional registers;
• Providing routine patient care and support, including health education;
• Maintaining appropriate health records;
• Performing minor surgical and medical procedures as part of treatment; and
• Compile periodic reports as required to plan for the section.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements;

• Bachelor’s Degree /Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine or its equivalent from a recognized and accredited institution;
• Have 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Officer I.
• Registered by Clinical Officers Council.
• Have valid practicing license.
