    Senior Program Manager, Neglected Tropical Diseases

    Responsibilities

    The Senior Program Manager will lead strategic vision, thought partnership, and implementation of CHAI’s PC-NTD program to strengthen country program planning and implementation (primarily related to surveillance and routine use of information, but may also cover resource mobilization, case management, supply chain and vector control) across at least seven countries by:

    • Ensuring achievable program plans are in place and integrated with team priorities, review and ensure high quality and up-to-date implementation of program activities and achievements
    • Directly managing a small team of project staff, including hiring, onboarding, managing performance, and contributing to professional development
    • Monitoring program activities against program goals and donor commitments, identify operational bottlenecks or weaknesses, and work collaboratively with CHAI country and global teams to achieve exceptional results on aggressive timelines
    • Reviewing and providing input to the budgeting process, including review of expenditures and decisions on reallocating funds
    • Managing internal communications across technical teams, country teams, and regional managers on cross-cutting NTD program activities
    • Representing CHAI at various regional and internal conferences and meetings related to NTD activities and strategy
    • Contributing to the formulation and sharing of project results, best practices, and lessons learned both internally and externally through high-quality presentations, briefs, reports, and publications
    • Developing project and financial donor reports, providing regular donor updates, and addressing ad-hoc donor requests
    • Developing and managing strong working relationships with key stakeholders across government, non-governmental organizations, working on relevant NTD strengthening activities
    • Identifying new opportunities for impact, including applying to new donor opportunities, implementing new opportunities to strengthen NTD programs, and building new relationships with key NTD stakeholders
    • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor 

    Qualifications

    • Master's Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years of work experience with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities
    • Experience in strategy development, planning, and project implementation
    • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, connect the dots and act upon technical information and translate scientific knowledge into actionable insights for decision-making
    • Experience in capacity building, mentorship, and management of remote or decentralized teams
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong spoken and written English, and skilled in making persuasive presentations and written reports
    • Exceptional attention to detail
