    Commercial Associate

    ROLE SUMMARY

    • The Associate - Commercial is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and execution of product categories within the company.

    ROLE POFILE

    • Researching current trends and company’s selling philosophies to procure the best merchandise for the lowest cost.
    • Assisting with the development of selling strategies, product marketing and sales support.
    • Research and analyze data and market insights.
    • Search for insights into consumer needs and wants.
    • Plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories.
    • Design exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors.
    • Place appropriate orders.
    • Ensure product availability.
    • Strategize positioning of a product category in order to maximize its visibility.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team.
    • Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities.
    • Work with customers and merchandisers and find new ways of expanding product categories.
    • Calculate forecasts for product demand trends.
    • Manage and track budget.
    • Manage relationships with vendors locally and internationally as required.
    • Work closely with the relevant teams to provide accurate stock availability records.
    • Assist content teams to ensure products have required content as directed by Sales Development Team.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Administration or related field.
    • 2+ years' experience across product innovation and category management in Retail Industry.
