Consultant – Surveillance Data Management and Analysis at World Health Organization

Purpose of consultancy

• The consultant will develop and maintain the reporting/acquisition and visualize, for different influenza and other respiratory viruses (ORVs), related data including burden of disease (BOD).
• The consultant will also review, update and maintain Shiny Apps and conduct ad hoc analysis of influenza and ORVs surveillance data.

Qualifications, experience, skills and languages

Educational Qualifications:

Essential:

• University degree preferably in data science, statistics, public health, infectious diseases; epidemiology or related field.

Experience

Essential:

• At least 5 years of combined national and international professional experience in data management/analysis and public health, specifically in influenza and ORVs surveillance.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Skills in programming and data management and analysis.
• Computer literacy: data management and analysis software. 
• Knowledge in R, SQL Server, XML, PowerBI, ArcGIS, GitHub.
• Excellent communication skills.
