    Consulting Service Line, Senior Associate, Development Consulting Kenya

    We are looking for an individual to join our rapidly expanding Development Consulting team that works with governments, development partners, international finance institutions and non-government organizations to tackle the most pressing problems of communities in Africa. You will be a person who thrives in tackling social-economic issues. These may include program development, monitoring, and evaluation to developing financial solutions for SMEs to economic growth and development of sustainable organizations. You enjoy leading high-performing teams that drive the delivery of innovative and results-oriented solutions for clients, by proposing problem-solving and creating tailored frameworks that address client challenges. You excel in solving problems using clear strategic and creative thinking, and you want to put your skills to work – transforming organizations that drive change around in developing economies of Africa.

    Your key responsibilities:

    • Lead work streams or specific tasks of development consulting services, formulate high-quality, insightful and sustainable solutions for clients
    • Ensure work efficiency during all engagements by continuously improving processes, utilizing methodologies, tools, and technologies
    • Be responsible for parts of the final deliverables for clients
    • Contribute to the preparation and facilitation of workshops, presentations and training at client premises and within the team
    • Work closely with the project manager, identify, and escalate potential risks and issues to project manager along with suggested preventive or mitigating actions
    • Contribute to a strong client relationship through effective management of interactions with client personnel
    • Supervise and coach junior professionals, help people enhance their contribution and develop their capabilities
    • Conduct market research, contribute to the development of proposals, identify, and escalate potential business opportunities on existing engagements

    • Ability to effectively support all aspects of engagement delivery end to-end;
    • A fast learner and analytical thinker;
    • Good business writing skills;
    • Experience working in a complex, fast moving environment and dealing professionally with multiple stakeholders;
    • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision;
    • A team player with good people management skills;
    • Strong work organisation, coordination and execution skills.

    To qualify for the role, you must have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in the humanities or any other relevant field with a minimum of second-class upper honours or equivalent
    • A minimum overall grade of a B in KCSE and B in both English & Mathematics
    • Membership with a relevant professional body e.g. IHRM, ICPAK etc
    • 3+ years’ experience in delivering consulting services
