Core Banking and Financial Reporting Consultant at Pezesha

Position Overview:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced core banking consultant. The Core Banking Consultant will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technology, data, and finance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in core banking systems, possess excellent coding skills in R and SQL, and have a deep understanding of financial concepts and reporting. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain, enhance, and ensure the accuracy of our Loan Management System (LMS).

Key Responsibilities:

LMS accuracy and robustness

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Loan Management System data and records.
• Conduct audit and validations of the LMS logic, computations and data.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the robustness and efficiency of the LMS.

Technical proficiency

• Write, optimize, and maintain code in R and SQL to support LMS operations and financial reporting.
• Work with IT and development teams to integrate and optimize core banking systems.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate data processing and reporting tasks.

Data management

• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and ensure data quality.
• Design and implement data models that support financial analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with data teams to improve data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.

Financial reporting

• Understand and apply financial concepts to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with IFRS reporting standards.
• Create and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations. Support the finance team with data-driven insights and analysis.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with data, finance and tech teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to end-users of the LMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven 7+ years of experience and track record working with core banking systems.
• Proficient in coding with R and SQL (other similar languages also accepted).
• Experience in data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
• Familiarity with financial concepts, loan products, and digital credit operations.
