County Creative Arts Residence & Empowerment (CO-CARE) Trainers at United States International University - USIU Africa

Background
The County Creative Arts Residence & Empowerment (CO-CARE) program is a partnership between the United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa), the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE), and the Churchill brand that will combine the technical and entrepreneurship concepts to empower you to build a career in the creative sector.

Roles and Responsibilities
As a trainer, you will hold a critical role in nurturing and equipping creative professionals with the essential skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the dynamic world of the creative arts. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting engaging and interactive training sessions that comprehensively cover both the technical and entrepreneurial facets of the creative arts.
• Assessing the progress of participants, pinpointing areas for improvement, and customizing training approaches to meet individual needs.
• Participate in a comprehensive 5-day Train-the-Trainer program to ensure you are equipped with the latest instructional techniques and program-specific insights.
• Oversee the proper documentation of participant attendance by ensuring that attendance sheets are accurately completed and signed.
• Ensure that trainees have access to all requisite training materials to complete the program.
• Guarantee that participants have access to the necessary content, resources, and tools needed to excel in the training program.

The Position
We are looking for trainers who meet the following requirements:

• Applicants should be between 18 and 35 years old. This dynamic age group brings a fresh perspective and relatability to effectively engage with fellow young content creators.
• A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in collaborating with content creators, particularly artists. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding and nurturing their creative journeys.
• Holders of a bachelor's degree in business or any other related degree
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effectively conveying ideas, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a conducive learning environment.
• The ability to adapt to various learning styles and approaches, coupled with a creative mindset, ensures that training sessions remain engaging, insightful, and impactful.
• Familiarity with relevant digital tools and platforms used in content creation is an added advantage, enabling trainers to offer practical insights and technical guidance.
• Resident of Kisumu, Mombasa, Kiambu, and Nairobi counties is imperative. Your local presence will be essential in establishing meaningful connections and rapport with aspiring content creators.

Interested applicants should demonstrate the ability to work independently, be very proactive and resourceful, and should be available for a 5-day Training of Trainers on November 20-24, 2023, and thereafter conduct training in the respective counties and able to access our training hubs in Kisumu YMCA (Kisumu), Kenya Coast National Polytechnic (Mombasa), United States International University – Africa (Nairobi) and Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology (Kiambu).
