We are looking for a current affairs intern who will be responsible for breaking news and political content. We shall expect you to have top-notch digital writing skills and a strong nose for extremely viral content.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitoring trending breaking news topics and political stories.
Writing and publishing news/political stories that resonate with our audience.
Sourcing ideas for exclusive stories.
Sourcing comments/interviews.
Good interviewing skills.
Ability to churn out articles in perfect English.
REQUIREMENTS:
Considerable experience in journalism and current affairs writing.
Perfect writing skills; narration and good grammar.
Great editorial judgment and quality current affairs news monitoring skills.
Impeccable communication and interviewing skills: both written and verbal.
Must be a strategic and analytical thinker.
Must be a self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn, adapt and work under minimal supervision.
Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).
Must be able to use social media effectively.
