    Cyber Security Intern

    We are seeking a cyber security intern that is eager to learn, analytical, and passionate about information security to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in protecting digital assets, monitoring threats, and supporting cybersecurity initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in monitoring security alerts, logs, and incidents.
    • Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
    • Help identify, investigate, and report potential security risks.
    • Assist in configuring and maintaining security tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection).
    • Escalate incidents to the appropriate team or individual for further action, as necessary.
    • Document incidents in accordance with established incident management processes.
    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required to provide updates on incident status.
    • Remain current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
    • Creation of exclusions, queries, and enhancements on behalf of clients to create a better and secure environment.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Computing Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in information security, incident response, or a related field.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Familiarity with security-related technologies and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, etc.).
    • Knowledge of incident response methodologies and best practices.
    • Foundational certification such as Security+ or equivalent is required.
