For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Served in the grade of Senior Assistant Director Audit for at least three (3) years OR a minimum period of Fifteen (15) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been in a Senior Management position in a comparable and relevant position in the Public or Private Sector;
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Business Administration (BA)-Accounting/Finance Option or Bachelor of Science (BSC)-Auditing and Consultancy/Finance option from a recognized Institution or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Certified Public Accountant - CPA(K) part III or equivalent qualifications; iv. Membership to a relevant professional body and in good standing;
Be a registered member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or certified Information Systems Auditors (CISA);
Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Business Administration (MBA)-Accounting/Finance Option or Masters of Science (MSC)-Auditing and Consultancy/Finance option from a recognized Institution; vii. Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme from a recognized institution lasting not less than six (6) weeks;
Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capabilities in work performance and results; and
Meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
