Duties and Responsibilities at this level will include but not limited to:

1. Formulating, designing and developing programmes and projects for the
   Authority;
2. Developing programme related interventions towards environmental
   management;
3. Coordinating involvement of donors for support in the course of programme/
   project implementation;
4. Overseeing delivery of programmes and projects within the Authority;
5. Initiating the development, review and implementation of policies and procedures for coordination of all partners;
6. Providing liaison and overseeing the development of relations with NEMA’s funding Partners;
7. Identifying and securing new strategic partners;
8. Mobilizing resources from external partners.
9. Training, Developing, supervising & appraising staff in the department

Requirements for appointment

 For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

1. Master’s degree in any of the following field: Environmental Management, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science; Biochemistry, Natural Science, Community Development, Disaster Management, Project Management or any other relevant field from a recognized institution;
2. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following field; Environmental Management, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science; Biochemistry, Natural Science, Community Development or any other relevant field from a recognized institution;
3. A minimum period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience and at least four (4) Years’ experience in management role in the Public Service or Private Sector;
4. Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
5. Proficiency in Computer Applications
6. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
7. Ability to mobilize resources from donors will be an added advantage.
8. Fulfilled the requirement of chapter six of the Constitution.
