For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Served in the grade of Senior Assistant Director Supply Chain Management for at least three (3) years OR a minimum period of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience, three of which must have been in a senior management position in a comparable and relevant position in the Public or Private Sector;
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university; OR Bachelor’s degree in Management/Social Sciences with a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution;
Certified Procurement and Supply Professional of Kenya (CPSP-K) qualification, or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution;
Member of a professional body of supply chain management officers’ i.e. Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply;
Practicing license from Kenya Institute of Supplies Management;
Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme from a recognized institution lasting not less than six (6) weeks; viii. Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capabilities in work performance and results; and
Meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
