DevOps Engineer (SAS AML Platform) at Andela

What you will do

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for SAS AML and supporting applications.
• Configure, support, patch and upgrade SAS platforms across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
• Monitor availability and performance, investigate production incidents and implement preventive improvements.
• Apply DevSecOps controls, secure configuration and vulnerability scanning.
• Maintain runbooks and operational documentation; collaborate with engineering, security and vendor teams.

What you will bring

• Approximately 5–7+ years in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering.
• Hands-on SAS software platform administration is essential; SAS programming or analytics use alone is insufficient.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Linux/Unix administration and CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab or Azure DevOps.
• Infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible or ARM templates, plus Bash, Python or PowerShell scripting.
• Production troubleshooting, monitoring and security experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure, hybrid infrastructure, networking and enterprise integrations.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Preferred experience

• SAS AML or SAS Viya administration, production SAS support, financial crime systems, mobile financial services, Grafana, Prometheus or Splunk, and Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• You must currently reside in Kenya or South Africa. This posting is based in Kenya. BYOD and a standard background check apply. The selection process includes a DevOps Engineer: AWS skill test and a one-hour technical interview; the sequence will be confirmed.
