Job Summary
The Digital Graphic Designer plays a cri=cal role in shaping how Capital Group shows up across all digital and social plaCorms. The role focuses on crea=ng visually compelling, on-brand content that drives audience engagement, supports commercial campaigns, and strengthens the Capital FM and Capital Group brands. Working within a fast-paced media environment, the Digital Graphic Designer will conceptualise and produce digital assets for web, social media, podcasts, video, events, and client campaigns.
The ideal candidate combines strong design craK with an understanding of digital audiences, trends, and plaCorm-specific best prac=ce.
Media or agency experience is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
Visual Content Creation
- Design compelling digital assets for use across social media, websites, newsletters, apps and digital campaigns.
- Ensure all visuals align with Capital FM’s brand guidelines and editorial tone.
Motion Graphics & Video Editing
- Produce short-form animations, motion graphics and promotional video snippets for digital channels.
- Enhance video storytelling through text overlays, branding and transitions.
Web & App Visual Design
- Collaborate with developers to create user-friendly, visually engaging layouts for web and app interfaces.
- Provide banner designs, microsite elements and promotional pop-ups.
Branding & Campaign Support
- Support the marketing, radio and social media teams with visuals for station campaigns, events, CSR initiatives and promotions.
- Design digital invites, posters, event branding and recap packages.
Infographics & Data Visualisation
- Create easy-to-understand visuals for news, features or business data.
- Design maps, timelines and info charts for editorial storytelling.
User Experience & Prototyping
- Assist in designing interactive mock-ups and wireframes for internal product development.
- Work with tech teams to improve usability and layout of digital products.
Platform-Specific Optimisation
- Customise visuals for platform requirements (e.g., Reels, Carousels, Thumbnails, TikTok vertical formats among others).
- Ensure designs are mobile-responsive and tested for web/app performance.
Digital Asset Management
- Maintain a central, well-organised archive of all final and source design files.
- Ensure templates and branding materials are accessible to internal teams.
AI & Innovation
- Explore and propose creative uses of AI design tools to increase efficiency.
- Stay updated on design trends, animation tools and creative tech.
Mentorship & Support
- Train staff in design tools, brand application and template usage.
- Develop internal guides for non-design teams to use standardised visuals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in graphic design, preferably in a media house, creative agency, digital marketing firm or fast-paced brand environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating digital-first design work, including social media, web, and campaign creatives.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Effects or Premiere Pro is an added advantage).
- Experience creating assets for multiple digital platforms and understanding of aspect .
- Familiarity with basic UI/UX principles and design for web or apps is an added advantage.
