Clinical Officer at International Fellowship Kenya

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient consultations, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat common medical conditions and minor surgical procedures.
• Prescribe appropriate medication and therapies in accordance with established treatment guidelines.
• Request, interpret and act upon diagnostic test and laboratory results.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Refer complex cases to specialist physicians or higher-level medical facilities where necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records for all patients.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention and health promotion.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional ethics at all times.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) or any other accredited institution.
2. Valid practicing licence from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya
3. Minimum 2 years of post-qualification clinic experience.
