Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Served in the grade of senior assistant director of livestock production for a minimumperiod of three years
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines; animal science, animal production, agriculture, apiculture, food science and technology, agribusiness, range management, natural resources management, livestock/agricultural economics, dairy technologyoragriculture education from recognized institution.
• Masters in the following disciplines; animal science, animal production, agriculture, apiculture, food science and technology, agribusiness, range management, natural
• resources management, livestock/agricultural economics, dairy technology or agricultureeducation from recognized institution.
• Certificate in strategic leadership development programme lasting not less than six(6) weeks from recognized institutionCertificate in computer application from recognized institution
• Demonstrated a thorough understanding of national /county goals policies and development objectives and ability to translate them in to trade development projects
