Dish Washer at Integrated Staffing and Training Limited

Our client, a lounge in the airport, is seeking to recruit dishwashers with a minimum of one-year experience. The successful candidate will be responsible in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen area. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a hospitality industry and be living within JKIA environs.

Location JKIA

Salary 15,000 Kshs

Transport and food will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. 
2. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized and report any functional or mechanical problems to the kitchen manager immediately.
3. Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
4. Complete opening and closing checklists.
5. Ensure adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room.
6. Follow kitchen waste management guidelines and procedures.
7. Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
8. Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
9. Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.  

Qualifications

1. High school Certificate
2. Certificate in hospitality is an added advantage.
3. Minimum one-year experience in a similar role
4. Must be fluent in English.
5. A positive attitude and work well with other team members
6. Must be able to work unsupervised
7. Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
8. Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 4 hours)
9. Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time
10. Be able to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
