    Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher / Kindergarten Teacher

    About Us:

    Established in 1986, Kabete Junior Academy is a leading British Curriculum Kindergarten located in Lower Kabete. Our school blends nature, creativity, and global best practices to create a nurturing environment for learners aged 16 months to 6 years.

    We are looking for a qualified and passionate teacher who is ready to make a lasting impact in a supportive and child-centred setting.

    Teacher Requirements:

    Key Requirements and Skills: 

    • A Qualified teacher with a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a relevant field.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
    • A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a Kindergarten setting.
    • Have a valid Teacher Services Commission Certificate (if applying from Kenya) or a PGCE or Qualified Teacher Status (for overseas applicants).
    • A valid Police Clearance Certificate or DBS (if from UK).
    • Basic tech literacy.

    Job Description (Key Duties):

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons under the EYFS and British National Curriculum, tailored to meet the learning needs of all children. 
    • Observe, assess, and document children’s progress to inform teaching and support development.
    • Create a stimulating, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
    • Promote children’s social, emotional, and cultural growth through positive relationships and activities.
    • Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication and feedback.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues and uphold the school’s values, policies, and positive ethos.
    • Maintain and promote high standards of health and hygiene in the school.
    • Be a positive role model to others.
