    Echo / ECG Technologist

     JOB SUMMARY

    • Are you passionate about precision diagnostics and patient care? We’re looking for a dedicated Echo / ECG Technologist to join our dynamic diagnostic team. Reporting to the Head of the Echo Department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and other cardiac diagnostic procedures that support timely and accurate diagnoses.
    • This is a patient-facing, high-impact role suited for a skilled technologist who values clinical excellence, empathy, and teamwork.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Diagnostic Services
    • Perform echocardiograms and ECGs with a high level of accuracy and image quality
    • Operate cardiac diagnostic equipment in accordance with manufacturer and safety protocols
    • Ensure timely submission of results to physicians and relevant departments
    • Patient Care and Advocacy
    • Explain procedures clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and cooperation
    • Maintain a patient-centered approach with professionalism and empathy
    • Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
    • Equipment Maintenance
    • Calibrate and inspect diagnostic machines regularly to ensure optimal performance
    • Report equipment faults or issues to the Team Lead for timely resolution
    • Documentation and Reporting
    • Accurately update patient records and procedural notes
    • Maintain diagnostic logs in compliance with internal policies and audit requirements
    • Collaboration
    • Work hand-in-hand with physicians, nurses, and fellow technicians for seamless care delivery
    • Contribute to regular team meetings and service improvement initiatives
    • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay informed on evolving cardiac imaging technologies and practices
    • Participate in training, workshops, and continuous professional development

    • Skilled in performing and interpreting echo and ECG tests

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Education & Certification

    • Diploma/Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Medical Imaging, or a related field
    • Certification in Echocardiography or ECG from a recognized institution
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
    • ACLS certification (advantageous)

    Experience

    • Up to 2 years’ clinical experience in echo and ECG diagnostics
    • Demonstrated consistency in producing high-quality and timely diagnostic results
    • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in operating echocardiography and ECG equipment
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records and diagnostic software
    • Communication
    • Strong verbal skills for patient interaction and team coordination
    • Able to write precise, well-structured diagnostic summaries
    • Interpersonal Attributes

    • Strong team contributor with a willingness to learn and grow
